A look back at size? Glasgow Union Street

Share This:

Well, there you have it, the end of an era. We’re officially counting down the days until we leave size? Glasgow Union Street.

From 2007 to 2020, we’ve had an amazing 13-year tenure in the heart of the Scottish city. But with it being a new decade, we thought it was the perfect time to change things up a bit.

There’s no need to worry though, we’ll still be situated within Glasgow’s centre, and our all-new Royal Exchange Square concept store is set to open very, very soon.

We’ve already given you a sneak peek of what’s to come, but before we divulge any more details, we thought we’d take a look back at our Union Street store.

size? x adidas Originals ‘Anniversary Series’ Glasgow – 2010

We’re sure you’re all familiar with our 2010 adidas Originals ‘Anniversary Series’ collection, but for those of you who aren’t we’ll quickly run you through it.

To celebrate 10 years of size?, we created six limited-edition silhouettes that chronicled six cities throughout the UK – one of which was Glasgow.

Limited to only 500 pairs, the reworked adidas Handball Spezial featured a rich navy and red colourway, modelled on the Glasgow tartan seen on various garments throughout the region.

Ghostface Killah size? session – 2018

Tony Starks, Ironman, Pretty Toney, whatever name you know him by, Ghostface Killah is one of the most instantly recognisable voices within Hip-Hop today. So you can imagine how excited we were when he came along to our Glasgow store for an exclusive size? sessions performance.

The first and only event held in the store, Ghostface brought the ruckus alongside longtime Wu-Tang affiliate Killah Priest, running through track after track of both solo and classic Wu records. One of the liveliest crowds we’ve seen, attendees came in fine voice, ready to rap along to everything played.

Check back on the size? blog over the coming days for more information on our all-new store.
