size? sessions celebrates the Nike Air Liquid Max
Launched for this year’s Air Max Day, the Nike Air Liquid Max is only just getting started. Following the initial ‘Poison Dart Frog’ makeup, we’ve seen a sleek ‘Triple Black’, a Fragment collaboration, and now it’s time to usher in the third colourway of ‘Bright Crimson’. If you’re yet to try the silhouette for yourself – don’t worry – the results are in, and decidedly it’s one of the comfiest Air Max shoes to date, thanks to the Cushlon midsole and point-loaded Air System that emits a fluid underfoot feeling.

As we welcome the latest edition to the Air Liquid Max lineup, we’re taking a look back at this year’s Air Max Day. We celebrated with a size? sessions event in our Carnaby Street store, where we invited JXME5C, Nayana IZ, Nix Northwest, and Lord Apex to perform. Here’s a little bit more about our special guests…
Lord Apex
Known for his laid-back delivery, sharp lyricism and genre-blending approach to hip-hop, Lord Apex is a West London rapper with a solid cult following. Drawing influences from golden-era rap, lo-fi production, and contemporary underground sounds, his work is textured with an unconfined spirit and abstract vision.
With reggae as his first musical lens before hip-hop, Lord Apex had a broad starting point as he perfected his craft. His strong visual identity and ability to bridge British perspective and global appeal have been evident throughout projects such as Smoke Session, Supply & Demand, and The Good Fight, earning him support from the likes of COLORS, Hypebeast, and Dazed.
Nix Northwest
Rapper, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, London-based Nix Northwest has carved out a distinctive space within the UK alternative hip-hop scene through his jazz-infused production and rich musicality. Rooted in craftsmanship and strong storytelling, he blends rap, soul, broken beat, and live instrumentation to create a sound that feels both timeless and contemporary.
You may be familiar with his work, Life’s A Bitch, I Just Need an Early Night, and his acclaimed debut album, Xin’s Disappearance, or maybe his collaborations with ENNY and Lausse The Cat.
Nayana IZ
Based in North London, Nayana IZ is a rapper, singer-songwriter and talented instrumentalist whose sound blends hip-hop, soul, R&B and jazz with a deeply personal approach to storytelling. Born in India and raised in London, her music explores identity, heritage and self-discovery to offer emotional depth and cultural perspective.
Nayana has earned recognition for her fluid lyricism, distinctive vocal tone, and genreless creative style through releases such as TNT, Partner in Crime, and Breaking Point.
JXME5C
An emerging UK artist, JXME5C is building momentum through a dark, melodic sound that blends rap, alternative trap and emotionally driven songwriting. His music sits at the intersection of underground rap and modern internet-born culture with moody production, contemplative lyrics and a raw sense of vulnerability.
Known for releases like No Sleep, Do This For, and Sleep, JXME5C balances introspection with energy, giving him a crossover appeal within both rap and alternative scenes.
