Here’s the plan… We’ve teamed up with adidas Originals to reimagine a cult-classic film from the 1960s in terrace footwear form. The adidas Originals Torino ‘The Torino Job’ – size? exclusive pack revisits the cherished silhouette in three muted palettes, each loaded with concealed details that nod to its silver screen origins where mod fashion, cockney charm and three quintessentially British cars captured the hearts of millions around the world.

Issued back in 1981, the adidas Originals Torino is the ‘City Series’ poster boy for the northern Italian city of Turin, the original setting for the legendary film. Located in the shadow of The Alps, Turin is beloved for its baroque architecture, world-class museums and French-style influences. We retraced the same very streets where Charlie Croker and his gang of criminals pulled off their infamous heist all those years ago and drew design cues for this release from those iconic modified Mk I Mini Coopers in which they made their getaway.

All three silhouettes stick to the same archival framework and material execution as the OG from back in the golden days. Soft red, blue and ecru suede uppers host tonal serrated leather 3-Stripes, minimal T-toe overlays and crinkled tongue units. Number plate registrations taken from the film get scribed across the inner heels, while custom insoles with the city map blueprint offer up collectable quality. Gum outsoles underline all of the above, providing durable grip, while silver foil wordmarks etch off across the lateral walls signalling vintage heritage.
