40 years is confirmation that a shoe has reached retro status, but the New Balance 990 has transcended time, still offering an effortlessly fresh look for rotations around the world. To make this anniversary extra special, the label has teamed up with Aimé Leon Dore founder Teddy Santis for a bundle of premium revamps. Landing this week, there’s a 990v2 and a 990v3 rendition, offering up two seasonal colourways – you don’t want to miss out on these.

First up, let us show you the 990v2, in a premium NB-grey colouring. Pristine in its design, the silhouette is hugged by furry suede overlays, protecting a breathable mesh base for functionality. Classic greys combine with beige and yellowish colours, while signature NB branding joins the design, delivering a splash of heritage. Cushioning comfort isn’t an issue with ENCAP tech, while a sticky rubber sole unit keeps things grippy underfoot.

Moving on, after 40 years of innovation, the New Balance 990v3 Made in USA is back to celebrate its legacy. This clean and crisp rendition features suede and techy mesh on its upper in a ‘Sea Salt’ colouring while grey hues fill the sidewall branding and heel patch. Grippy rubber offers tread action underfoot while ENCAP-injected midsoles deliver the premium cushioning comfort. ‘Made in USA’ labelling to the tongue and heel signs this gem off.

The New Balance 990s land on site on Thursday 7th July and are priced between £190-£200. Keep an eye on our launches page for all our latest drops.
