The Nike Air Trainer 1 is back with technical details and a ‘Coriander’ colourway

Nike’s first cross-training silhouette gets modernised with trail-inspired details in its latest ‘Coriander’ iteration. This already multi-functional trainer is a Nike sporting legend, and this latest iteration is set to cause quite the hype.

First released in ’87, the Nike Air Trainer 1 was the first-ever cross-training shoe. Tinker Hatfield conjured up this model when he realised there was a need for a gym-running crossover in the footwear market. While fashion-forward, this trainer was also one of the first to use Air technology, something that still carries trainers throughout the Nike catalogue today.

This techy iteration opts for multiple styles of intricate mesh on the upper, combined with smooth leather accents and reflective panels. What’s more, a handy tongue pull lets you slip these on with ease, and a foot-securing strap lets you personalise your fit on the move. Multiple Swooshes feature on the upper, and textile details add to its textural variety. To sign this release off, there is an Air-cushioned rubber sole unit for premium Nike comfort.

The Nike Air Trainer 1 lands on our site on Friday 11th February. It is priced at £135 and comes in both men’s and women’s sizes. Check out our site for more launches – you don’t want to miss out on these.
