Announcing our £15k donation to the Butterfly Thyroid Cancer Trust

To coincide with Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month, we’ve teamed up with adidas Originals to launch the Trimm Star ‘Lost Ones’ special edition. Designed by Mark Evans, who won last year’s fantasy trainer competition, the colours are inspired by the Thyroid Cancer ribbon.

Paying tribute to his wife, who was unfortunately diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer 4 years ago, Mark designed the trainer to honour her journey, and raise awareness for this illness that can often go unchecked. According to the Butterfly Thyroid Cancer Trust, each year an estimate 2,700 people in the UK are diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. Working with Mark and adidas, we hope to raise awareness, provide a wider understanding, and educate customers on the disease.

Inspired by the charity’s ribbon, Mark’s Trimm Stars opt for soft-to-touch purple uppers, complemented by signature serrated aqua 3-Stripes and a pink velvet heel tab. The low-profile tongue remains logo-less, while golden Trimm Star branding graces the lateral sidewalls.

Alongside the trainer release, and to help support patients and families living with Thyroid Cancer, we’re donating £15k to the Buttery Thyroid Cancer Trust. To those who seek it, the Butterfly Thyroid Cancer Trust can offer information, support, and guidance during these isolating and frightening times.

In honour of Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month, the exclusive trainer will be dropping online and in all size? stores from Friday 24th September. You can find out more about the Butterfly Trust and the important work they carry out at the link below, where you can also donate. Thank you.
