Our latest Creators Series continues. We have teamed up with Vans and a team of creatives to showcase their amazing talents. This time around, we caught up with Lydia Bolton; she showed us her amazing DIY clothes-making skills, teeming with ‘70s influence.
For this project, Lydia took influence from the ‘70s flower design on the showcased Vans Needlework shoe. Bright pops of colour have been used on this set of clothing, constructed from her own fabric and stitchwork. Crafted by hand, this project shows the raw talent that Lydia possesses, using small pieces of fabric to create a vibrant set of summer-ready clothing.
All the fabric used is offcuts from vintage tablecloths from the ‘70s and ‘80s, offering a vintage appeal to the outfit, nodding back to classic Needlepoint shoes.
