Pride Weekend and a bank holiday - summer might be on its way out, but we can't think of a better way to finish it. We have been getting in the mood for Pride this week, with a storefront refresh and an interview with the local icon Manchester Tom. Now, after the success of our last size?sessions in Manchester, we are hosting another at our size? Manchester store this Friday.

We have invited two legends to our store this Friday to perform: founder of Manchester's Homoelectric event Luke 'Unabomber' and global entertainer DJ Sam Divine. The pair will be kickstarting the weekend's celebrations in style - expect a genre-jumping spectacle and an energy like no other. Have a read about each artist below...

Luke ‘Unabomber’

Luke ‘Unabomber’ Cowdrey is something of a legend when it comes to Manchester’s dance scene. A DJ, promoter, and in possession of a must-follow Instagram account, Luke ‘Unabomber’ is a seasoned record spinner with a rich, genre-hopping taste in tunes. Originally from across the Pennines in Sheffield, Manchester’s rich music scene and raw energy inspired him to move. Luke quickly became immersed in the local dance scene, witnessing the acid house revolution happen in the city. Luke, and his DJ partner Justin Unabomber, founded the iconic Electric Chair event in 1995; a legendary night that appealed to a diverse set of partiers. Unfortunately, the night closed its doors, but he now runs Manchester’s Homoelectric party – a celebration of the city’s inclusive gay culture. We are buzzing to invite this Manchester icon to our size? store this Friday, we hope to see you there!

Sam Divine

Having always wanted to be a global entertainer, DJ Sam Divine has made it her life’s work to make this dream a reality. As one of house music’s household names, Sam’s career has seen a rise through the ranks to become Defected’s First Lady, while gaining a few notable slots along the way. Having held residencies at the likes of Pacha, Mambo, Amnesia, Eden and Ushuaïa in Ibiza alone, she has also found herself on the bill at Tomorrowland, Eastern Electrics and Creamfields. Launching DVINE Sounds in 2015 - offering a platform for new and emerging artists - Sam has also been instrumental in shaping the current UK house scene. Amid a hectic year of touring - which will see Sam moving through Australasia, North America and Canada – we’re thrilled she found time for our size? Sessions. Quite frankly, we can’t wait to party.

Check out our new storefront here, plus our interview with Manchester Tom. Also, keep an eye on this post for the live event!
