We are bringing back the cult classic Nike Omega Flame

We are bringing back one of Nike’s most sought-after archive silhouettes – the Omega Flame. First released in 1983, this reissue mirrors the OG, offering the beloved fiery colourway and signature running aesthetic.

The shoe’s rarity made it somewhat of a legend, gaining attention with crowds on the terraces for its eye-catching, casual charm. Even rarer today, the shoe is still highly in-demand, so this size? Exclusive Nike reissue is certainly one of the trainer highlights of the year.

Now for the trainer – what can we say – it is still as unique today as when it first landed on the shelves. From the quarters to the toe box, the shoe boasts a transition from rich red to yellow, overlaid with vibrant leather Swooshes dressed in another audacious tone of yellow.

Red suede detailing features too, covering the eyestays, toe bumper and heel. The sole unit opts for white on the midsole and a black tread beneath, offering a track-ready look. Further branding to the tongue and heel signs off this legend.

To learn a bit more about the history behind the Nike Omega Flame before it’s release, we headed to Sheffield to meet up with Vintage Shop owner and curator JoJo Elgarice. After giving us a tour of his incredible Rag Parade space, he brought out one of the original pairs he owns as part of his personal collection of vintage Nike runners, detailing the significance of the pair when they first released back in the 1980’s.
