For this instalment of size? collections, we head to Birmingham to showcase Josh Edgar’s footwear collection.

One of our size? Experts, Josh’s range of footwear is one to be proud of. While he often opts for a fresh pair of Nikes, a special silhouette from our Anniversary City Series makes the cut. Check his collection below…

Overview

“At first, I put my whole collection in a pile and took a basic, jumbled photo, but nothing looked special enough, so I decided to whittle them down to my favourite nine pairs. It was hard at first but once I started thinking about how each shoe and its themes affected my life; my nine became clear.”

Nike Air Max 98 ‘Gundam’ [2018]

“My hands-down favourite pair and yet the newest addition to my collection! I’ve wanted the Gundams since I first got into collecting. Ironically the 98’s are my least favourite Air Max yet the pop-culture inspired colours just elevate this pair way above anything else I’ve seen [and that’s a lot of trainers!]”

Footpatrol x Nike Air Max 95 ‘110’ [2020]

“Despite how many times I get asked the question “What 95’s do you have in stock?”, they’ll still always be 110s to me and a fairly large proportion of collectors. A pair that literally speaks for themselves, they come second on my list of favourites.”

Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Chicago’ [2020]

“I’m going to be perfectly honest with this one; somehow, they managed to fly under my radar at first, but when I eventually heard about its release I knew I had to get my hands on them. As an avid skater seeing such an iconic colourway on the best skate shoes was a match made in heaven. Although I haven’t skated in them yet, I’m sure they will have their time when summer comes around!”

Nike Air Max 1/97 ‘Sean Wotherspoon’ [2018]

“Surprisingly this was my first pair of limited-edition trainers, as well as the first SNKRs raffle that I entered and god I was lucky! Truly a pair that has taken the world by storm and unfortunately mine now look as if they’ve been left out in a storm. However, I do now make sure I try and keep my collectables in the best possible condition I can [I’m sure my colleagues won’t agree though].”

size? x adidas Originals Johannesburg [2020]

“I never really was a massive fan of adidas until I joined the size? team in the middle of the 2020 Anniversary City Series Collection release, but I was taken back by the attention to detail and the stories that are behind most of their shoes. I just knew I had to get involved! Joburg is always a place I’ve wanted to visit and its connection to Birmingham just reinforces my wanderlust.”
