After Nike’s recent ‘Garage/Grime’ pack, their admiration of the UK’s rich musical heritage is clear; now, the Beaverton brand is set to drop a new range with Grime legend Skepta.

Introducing The Metamorphosis, a new Nike SK Air collection inspired by the beauty of the natural world. The title nods to the butterfly and its metaphor-inspiring process – metamorphosis. Their range explores the idea of creative rebirth, something which the artist has proven time and time again.

You may love his expansive discography of music, now it’s time to indulge in some of his fashion innovation.

Merging his creativity with Nike Air’s exceptional heritage, the collaboration follows the Metamorphosis theme, combining it with elements of grime-inspired nostalgia. Joining the collection is a premium full-zip Track Jacket, covered in a black colourway with a butterfly-inspired print.

Matching up with this is the Nike x Skepta Track Pant, completing the tracksuit with a matching design. Top off your outfit with a collaborative bucket hat boasting an adjustable drawstring for an adventurous look, finished with butterfly inspiration. Additionally, these pieces all come with Nike Air and Skepta branding, signalling this legendary collab.

Now for the trainers, the Skepta has made the Air Max Tailwind 5 his own, reimagining it with a ‘Chrome Blue’ colourway. One of the Air Max all-time greats, the silhouette features glossy sidewall Swooshes atop of a striking butterfly wing design that embraces the upper. Adding to this, on the heel, the trainer also pays homage to the thermographic cover art from Skepta’s 2019 album – Ignorance Is Bliss.
