Well, we’re fast approaching that time of the year already; every year on the 26th March, Nike honours its game-changing Air-technology with a series of limited edition, Air-injected silhouettes.

There’s another roster of top-drawer footwear is landing for 2021, and if it’s info on these releases you’re after, then look no further. We’ve put together a comprehensive guide of what’s to come from Nike this year. Keep on scrolling to find our more…

Air Max Pre-Day

Nike’s all-new Air Max 270 Pre-Day is making its debut on this Air Max Day. An amalgamation of heritage and modern-day design, the lifestyle trainer brings the sleek aesthetic and Air technology of today’s runners with the tried-and-tested nylon and suede upper combination made famous throughout the ’70s.

The Air Max Pre-Day is pretty eco-friendly too. Its entire mesh and synthetic suede upper, plus the laces, are all made from 100% recycled materials to create a sustainable silhouette that’s suitable for the future. Down below, a supportive foam forefoot and Air-bubble heel keep your feet comfortably cushioned all day long.

Call it retro-futuristic if you please, the past-meets-present pair is sure to be a welcome addition to Nike’s Air Max lineage.

Air Max 90 ‘Bacon’

The rumour mill can finally stop spinning because yes it’s true, the Air Max 90 ‘Bacon’ colourway made famous by Nike’s collaboration with DQM’s is finally getting a reissue. A homage to the breakfast favourite, the AM90 ‘Bacon’ arrived in 2004 thanks to Dave Ortiz and his since-closed Dave’s Quality Meats skate store in NYC.

A real Air Max 90 grail, an array of pinks, reds and browns paint the sizzling silhouette’s premium suede, leather and textile upper, nodding to the different stages of the meat being cooked.

Air VaporMax EVO

The next evolutionary step in Nike’s Air VaporMax category is here. Fittingly dubbed the Air VaporMax Evo – standing for ‘Evolution of Icons’ – the lifestyle-orientated model opts for a hybrid design that brings with it an aggressive mesh, leather and synthetic upper that nods to the Air Max 90, Air Max 93, Air Max Plus and the Tuned 99 to name a few.

On the underside, your feet are kept cushioned by the slightly-slimmer, singular, tapered Air-injected sole unit of the Air VaporMax 2020 Flyknit. For a few final touches, the pair’s tongue logo nods to Air Max heritage from the ’90s and early ’00s, and the silhouette is housed in a mismatched shoebox to continue the hybrid design.
