The Air Force 1 LXX is a reptile-inspired remodelling of the classic

The Air Force 1 was first released in 1982 by Bruce Kilgore and was crafted for high-performance on the courts. The shoe soon became an important part of streetwear; they were represented by some of hip hop’s superstars, defining their style and getting mentioned in various classic tracks. The trainer’s simplicity and versatile nature made it one of the finest canvases for a remodelling, hence the many collaborations and reworks that is has received over the years. Well, it is time for another, introducing the Air Force 1 LXX.

Turned on its proverbial head, this deconstructed, reptile-inspired Air Force 1 LXX sees the model reworked with a cut-and-paste design and two fresh colourways, both boasting the same fresh white base. Slices in the sidewall see the usual scaly Swooshes weave their way into the b-ball silhouette’s body, and even the tongue is flipped inside out, showcasing the sizing on the outside. Below, an encapsulated Air midsole remains uncompromised, and the pair is finished with a rubber outsole for glue-like grip to the surface.
