Take a look at the Jordan Zoom ’92

Jordan’s latest addition to their basketball lineage fuses three classic styles from 1992 – the Air Jordan 7, the Nike Air Max 180 and the Nike Air Force 5 – and mixes them together to create the all-new Jordan Zoom ’92.

Visually, it’s clear to see elements from each silhouette throughout, but all three are there functionally too. The Zoom ’92’s colour-blocked, layered uppers draw influence from the Air Jordan 7’s design lines, plus the pair also lifts the “9” badge from the AJ7 and places it on the moulded heel counter.

And to nod back to the Air Max 180 and Air Force 5, the ’92 boasts an exposed Zoom Air unit in the forefoot – putting the pair’s inner workings on display.

Why the ’92 in its name you might be asking? Well, MJ and his “Dream Team” put on a show at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992; on his feet, he donned the Air Jordan 7, and that’s why it’s served as one of the key influences for the Jordan Zoom ’92.
