New Balance is back with another trio of what’s set to be one of the most sought-after silhouettes this year, the 327.
Now, although New Balance’s 327 is a brand new model, you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s been pulled it straight out of a classic ’70s catalogue. The tried-and-tested combination of suede and nylon together on a runner automatically adds an element of nostalgia, and with this latest pair, New Balance has perfected this technique down to a T.
Its archival aesthetic has certainly struck a chord with footwear fans with their first round of 327s flying off the shelves in a flash; now the Boston-based brand is back with a trifecta of summer-ready colour-ups.
Taking a step away from the previous iterations’ split colour schemes, these latest models opt for palettes that completely engulf the pair’s uppers.
We’re already familiar with the two blue & yellow and orange & white pairs – makeups that cropped up on the last 327 batch – but this time NB is introducing a very nice red, light grey and navy offering that we’re pretty certain is going to be a big hit.
Unlike the other two’s printed design, the all-new colourway’s oversized ‘N’ sidewall logo – a feature lifted from New Balance’s 320 runner – is done up in soft suede for a nice, textured touch.
On the underside, all three feature a healthy dose of foam keeps your feet supportively cushioned, while their studded outsoles hark back to the 355 trail runner, keeping you firmly gripped to the surface.
