You know the score, it’s time for another size? collections instalment.
Last time around we extended the collections beyond the realm of size? and treated you to footwear Warren Jones top-notch hoard. Next on our agenda is another self-proclaimed ‘sneakerhead’, Joe Mar Velasco – aka @itsjvelasco.
Have a flick through and see what Joe has stashed away…
Nike Kobe 9 EM Low ‘Philippines’ – 2014
“The elements of this design represents me growing up in the Philippines. Here are a few of the inspirations behind these sneakers: the silver hints on the upper represent ‘Jeepney’ (Public transport); the translucent outsole represents ‘Tsinelas’ (flip flops), and the patterns on the upper equal ‘Banig’ (Bed mat) + basketball courts. Thank you to the ‘Black Mamba’ for being a role model and inspiration for this generation.”
Nike Air Foamposite One NRG ‘Galaxy’ – 2012
“Such a special Nike pair to me and in my opinion this specific release created a big impact on the sneaker world!”
Travis Scott x Nike Collection
“They’re my four favourite Travis Scott collaborations, I like them because each one of them has a unique feature. I’m trying to complete the set and still planning to cop the Dunks!”
Nike Air Jordan 3 ‘Black Cement’ – 2018 & 2011
“These are one of my all-time favourite Air Jordan models and colourway. I remember walking into a sneaker shop 20 years ago and falling in love with this pair. I said to myself ‘one day I’m going to own that pair.'”
BAPE x adidas NMD_R1 ‘Olive Camo’ – 2016
“I don’t own a lot of adidas sneakers, but these are one of my favourite ‘go-to’ pairs when it comes to comfort. Wearing them brings out the ‘Hypebeast’ side of me”
Just Don x Nike Air Jordan 2 Retro ‘Beach’ – 2015 & 2016
“As soon as I saw the leaked photos I knew I had to cop both of the AJ2 colourways, the quality and details of each silhouette is just amazing. That luxury Chanel bag-inspired upper just made me fall in love with them. “
