One of the original ‘Superstar DJs’, David Morales’ career dates back to the early ’80s in his native New York, organising his own parties inspired by those he attended at the legendary Loft and Paradise garage locations. Since then he’s travelled the world numerous times to play in the most iconic clubs of Ibiza and across Europe. A producer in his own right, he’s also been responsible for numerous remixes for over records.
We sat down with David shortly before his headline set in The Depot to learn more about his past relationship with the Haçienda, and why he only wears the Three Stripes on his feet.
As part of our size? sponsorship of this season of Warehouse Project, each week we’ll be reporting from the Depot. We’ll be speaking to many of the artists on each eclectic line-up, seeing what everyone’s wearing on foot, and showcasing the spectacle that is the Mayfield Depot.
