At the turn of 2019, adidas Originals kindly resurrected the LXCON from their archive. The bona fide ‘90s classic – which was originally rolled out to provide structured support to runners back in the day – was handed a modern update, and this season we’ve gone one step further as we coat with the silhouette with a new colourway inspired by a ’90s FYW Trail model.
The uppers, which are made up of breathable mesh and supportive leather overlays, have been splashed with a bright blue, white, black, and most noticeably, a striking hi-vis green. A moulded EVA midsole and adiprene cushioning have been fitted to provide sole-supporting comfort, while Torsion technology also features within the midsole to remain loyal to the OG. ‘90s-style branding decorates the tongue, and lastly, a tri-colour rubber outsole features underfoot for stable traction to the surface.
The size? Exclusive adidas Originals LXCON ’94 is out now.
