Steeped in English heritage, Clark’s Originals simplistic styles and timeless designs have continually ensured they remain at the forefront of the footwear scene ever since their inception – always have been, always will be. Their archival silhouettes are often revived and reinterpreted, and this season they employ help from across the Atlantic for their latest collaboration – introducing the Clarks Originals x Carhartt WIP Wallabee Boot.

Just Like Clark’s Originals, Carhartt is a brand who has always remained true to their roots. With their history lying in workwear, the Detroit-based brand has been making high-quality garments since 1889, and in 1994, their Work In Progress ‘WIP’ label began to revise classic American work clothing for the European streetwear scene. Infusing their industrial DNA into an English classic, Carhartt WIP paints the Wallabee Boot in two makeups that lift their palettes from some of the brand’s most iconic pieces.

Coated in a ‘Brown Combi’ colourway, the first of the duo draws strong similarities to Carhartt’s ‘Hamilton Brown’ canvas, a staple shade from the brand which has been used across countless outerwear garments. The second of the two takes on an ‘Olive Camo’ colour scheme – an ode to the military influences that crop up throughout numerous Carhartt WIP garments.

Each of the pairs boasts durable suede uppers crafted by the UK-based Charles F. Stead tannery, a company that is renowned around the glode for their water and stain-resistant leathers. Brown and camouflage canvas trims – plus woven brand tags – are held firmly in place by triple stitching, and the boots are complete with Clarks Originals’ famous crepe soles underfoot. Co-branded footbeds and fobs are the perfect way to finish off this intercontinental blend timeless style and workwear heritage.

The Clark’s Originals x Carhartt WIP Wallabee Boot will be available on Thursday 5th September, via the size? website and in selected size? stores, priced at £130.
