What’s on at Graduate Fashion Week 2019?

As we’re sure you’re all aware by now, we’re teaming up with Graduate Fashion Week once more for 2019 to sponsor the Fashion Styling & Creative Direction Award, and partner with Reebok for an exclusive event we teased earlier last week. We think now’s the best time for us to unveil just what that exclusive event is and give you a bit more info on what you can expect throughout the week, keep reading to find out more…

size? x Reebok: Hydro Lab – All Week @ the size? terrace

As part of our partnership with GFW 2019, we’re proud to announce we’ll be taking over the Truman Brewery Terrace in partnership with Reebok and their new Slice release, for an exclusive interactive pop up: the Hydro Lab.

‘A Shoe for everyone’ – the Slice’s all-inclusive ethos can be perfectly showcased through the lab’s Hydro Dipping customisation. Come visit the team at the Hydro Lab where you’ll be able to purchase a pair of Reebok’s all-new Slice silhouettes – unavailable anywhere else for another two weeks – for £55 (plus your 20% student discount), and choose an exclusive decorative print.

If you want to personalise your trainers, old or new, then be sure to come to the experts at Hydro lab, who will gladly upcycle your shoes with prints and laces of your choice.

2nd June

12pm – the size? sponsored GFW Collective Show ( in collaboration with Plymouth College of Art) will be taking place.

Partnering with Reebok, four students from PCA were granted early access to the all-new Slice silhouette, where they were given free roam to transform the model as they please to fit in with their fashion show theme.

3rd June

12pm – we’ll be hosting a live Q&A with Sam Pearce, Footwear Designer at New Balance.

Look out for an exclusive talk by Sam, who’ll be talking us through his journey into the industry and how the insight he gained from his university degree helped him to get to where he is today. He’ll also be sharing knowledge on what New Balance projects he has worked on and running us through a few of his favourites, plus his predictions on future fashion trends, and what his views are on sustainability and innovation within the industry and sportswear in general.

4th June

11am – 5pm – size? Award Judging will be taking place.

Our specialist judges from size? HQ will be meticulously examining the work of the 12 shortlisted contestants for The Fashion Styling & Creative Direction award. Keep tuned into the blog in the coming days as we’ll be introducing you to the 12 contestants and showcasing creative work from their portfolios.

3pm – size? panel talk with Helen Banks, the European Marketing Account Manager at renowned footwear brand, ASICS.

Helen will be informing us on what it’s like to work for a global brand as big as ASICS and what it took to land her role, whilst also shedding some light on the to tips a multi-national brand like ASICS look for in new graduate position roles.

5th June

2.30pm – Best of Graduate Fashion Week Award Show. The winner of
The Fashion Styling & Creative Direction award, selected by size? will be unveiled and awarded a cash prize.

7.30pm – GFW Gala Award Show
