More function driven footwear has jumped into the spotlight, and shoe’s which never got the attention they deserved the first time around are finally turning heads. In this latest editorial we’ve highlighted some of the great new shoes at size? which fall under the ‘chunky runners’ moniker, that also finds itself attached to shoes like the Yeezy Wave Runner, Balenciaga Triple S and Nike M2K Tekno.
Both the ASICS GEL-Venture 6 and GEL-Contend 4 channel more of a traditional running look popularised throughout the 90’s, with ventilated mesh running across the majority of the uppers, synthetic leather panelling and finished with a technical GEL midsole.
On the New Balance side of things, the new 624 V4 keeps things monochromatic with both an all over grey premium suede version and more of a traditional all white leather make-up. We teamed both brands up with a selection of the latest Lost Management Cities and Stüssy collections to show the varying ways in which the shoes can be styled.
