Continuing to bring back heralded shoes from the City Series Back catalogue, adidas Originals have dipped into the vaults and re-issued the classic Berlin, with a slight twist.
Rumour has it the original foil branding on the first sample version of this shoe was printed with the ‘Berlin’ insignia upside-down, hence the addition in this latest version to change things up a little. The profile of the Berlin may look familiar, and you’d be right in thinking so. As with many other models that live under the City Series moniker, the same shape was used for many different releases, in this case for the London, Bern, and Dublin. A simply put together shoe, it’s minimalism is what’s made it so iconic over the past four decades. The palette in this original colourway makes use of both Argentina and Sky Blue, with the prior highlighting the much darker suede base layer with it’s serrated leather stripes.
The adidas Originals Berlin will be available online and in selected size? stores on Thursday 1st February, priced at £85.
