adidas Originals Archive Albrecht – size? Exclusive
The latest instalment in our ongoing exclusive adidas Originals Archive collection is the Albrecht. Our second visit to the leisure inspired silhouette after the leather dressed versions earlier in the year, this time around we’ve worked on two suede colourways of the original low iteration.
With inspiration drawn from the legendary Sevilla - an integral part of the adidas Leisure collection that ran from the 1970s to the 1990s - the Albrecht gives new and old adidas collectors alike the chance to own a much sought-after silhouette. The Albrecht is however much more than just a nostalgic trip through the adidas back catalogue. Adopting the stylish upper of the Sevilla, which typified the casual, luxurious feel of the Leisure range, the Albrecht is brought boldly into the future with the addition of Gazelle tooling in two premium models. The combination of the Leisure range aesthetic with trainer flourishes has rarely been attempted before, even throughout adidas’ storied history. The adidas Melbourne and Brisbane proved to be iconic exceptions in the 1980s, marrying high-quality leather uppers with soles taken from the more familiar sportswear ranges. The Albrecht builds on this heritage of experimentation.
Modern, creatively daring and with a respectful nod to the archives - the Albrecht exemplifies everything you’ve come to expect from the adidas archive collection. Both colourways of the size? Exclusive adidas Originals Archive Albrecht will be available online and in all size? stores on Friday 23rd September.
