Situated in the Les Halles district, our Paris store sits a stones throw away from the famous Centre Pompidou, the eccentric arts space that is said to have inspired Tinker Hatfield while creating the Nike Air Max 1 via it’s innovative design features. As with a lot of european cities we’ve seen on our Selected By travels, Paris has an interesting divide of both modern architecture that has cropped up over the last decade, that sits alongside classic shuttered windows and ornate railings. One of the most esteemed fashion capitals of the world, style is very important to Parisians, a trait visible in every individual area you pass through.

Our Paris store has recently been refurbished with a new size? for women section to cater for the female community in the local area. We headed over to check it out and speak to some of the staff about their favourite products currently available instore now.

What are some of your favourite things about Paris? Being an outsider I love how well French people live life, there is so much to do and see here and the architecture and history of the city is just incredible.

Any interesting things to get up to in the local area? At night I love taking my bike out for a spin around Paris when the roads are quiet and everythings lit, and after work it’s also nice to chill along the Seine with friends and get a picnic with a bottle of wine, there’s always someone playing an instrument or two!

Where are the best places to grab something to eat in the city? We are spoilt for choice here, there is so much good food around. For me ‘Le Titi Que Tonne’ does amazing burgers, great music and often holds sneaker gatherings so we go there a lot. Also Little Baobei do incredible Asian Burgers and Holybelly does a killer breakfast!!

What have you been wearing in your footwear rotation lately? Lots of Air Jordans, Diadora x Packer x Raekwon ‘Purple Tape’, Nike Vandal OGs and like everyone else right now can’t hide from the NMD and Yeezy.

Any musical recommendations that you’ve been listening to? Currently exploring a lot of french Hip Hop, a little Rick James and Evelyn ‘Champagne’ King on a Friday night. But my real love is old skool Hip Hop. I went to see Nas recently so I’ve been playing the classic ‘Illmatic’ and ‘It Was Written’ the past week.

Tell us about some of your all time favourite shoes. The pairs that really got me hooked on trainers were the adidas ZX8000 Aqua and Reebok Pump Battleground OG from back in the 90s. My Dad picked them up when I was small and I just remember thinking ‘WOW! The colours back then were crazy! I never found them in junior sizes back then but I do remember having OG Air Max 97s, Nike Veers, Air Penny IIs and loving my Cons Aerojams, so any shoe that brings back nostalgia and reminds me of being young and carefree I will add to the collection!
