As a development of the successful bring-back of the EQT Racing last year, adidas Originals have further enhanced the runner with the addition of Primeknit. The progression of the technique since it's first introduction in 2012 has meant designers are now able to pre-program the knit pattern in CAD software and alter certain areas of the shoe where added flexibility or structure is needed. This can also be used for aesthetic reasons in allowing different patterns or colours to be entwined into the design.
For this latest release, two split colourways have been created to pull focus purely onto the EQT Racing's eccentric shape. The red option is almost a throwback to the first colourway of the original Primeknit silhouette that debuted at the London Olympics in 2012, with it's all over pillar box red colouring and white branding. The second takes a monochromatic approach, with an all over black primeknit and matching lace. Both pairs sit atop the EQT Racings original midsole tooling, fitted out with adidas' comfort enhancing Torsion bar.
Both colourways of the womens EQT Racing Primeknit will be available online and in selected size? stores on Saturday 21st May, priced at £85 and available in sizes UK 3-8.
