Taking air very literally, we took to the skies of the Capital as part of ‘London Air’ with Nike. After going through their genealogy and evolution of the Air Max family, we set off over London in a helicopter, getting a different perspective on the city that has made many of the Air Max silhouettes iconic over the years.

As you can tell from our series
Authorities on Air, Air Max has become more than just a trainer; they're tangible and have become embedded into our society and lives. Each generation favours a different model which is personal and relates to them.

For the ride, we opted for the
size? Exclusive Nike Air Max 93 'Metals'. Rumour has it, the Air Max 93 is actually Tinker Hatfield's favourite model of the entire series; he believed it was the most complete in terms of a runner and was the first to feature the dynamic fit technology.
