Manipulating the shoe on the work bench into place, a vice-like grip is applied to the rear of the silhouette, stretching the high grain leather into place. The raw pieces and panels, the mere skeleton of the shoe, change characteristics after every stitch; the soft supple leather evolves as the shoe takes shape.
The Reebok Ventilator, first released in 1990, specifically revolved around the track; favouring performance and prioritising speed. Incorporating their latest Hexalite technology to further enhance the comfort, this worked in tandem with the IMEVA midsole which reduces the shock and flex upon impact. A shoe synonymous for metallic meshs, neon nubucks and patent patterns, the Ventilator has undergone arguably its biggest transformation yet...
The upper has been constructed with a rich brown and black leather, partnered with micro perforated detailing to the toe box and side walls. A contrasting off white lining, foot bed and midsole provide depth and an additional dimension whilst being finished off with a gum sole.
The Reebok Ventilator 'Reupholstered' - size? Exclusive is available now, both are priced at £85 in UK sizes 4 - 12.
