Building upon our vast adidas Originals Archive collection, the next silhouette to be revived is the iconic ZX 710. Birthed into the ZX family in 1987, the 710 shared similar characteristics to its predecessors; the series’ DNA evolved from both on and off the track. Their founding principles, conceived from biochemical and physiological studies, were tailored to improve speed, prolong durability and enhance comfort.
The 710 featured adidas’ iconic dellinger webbing which extends over the entire midsole; it absorbs impact shock and distributes it evenly across the sole to ease pressure whilst the sole compresses. Similarly, a synthetic suede reinforcement, laterally extended at the front, was used to lock the foot into place and allow for a stronger instep during strides.
Fast forward 30 years and the ZX 710 enters the adidas Originals Archive in two brand new colourways. The first is using a navy synthetic suede upper with overlapping double layered frosted mint stripes and the second follows suit in Ecru and a light aqua.
Both the adidas Originals ZX 710 are available here and in all size? stores, priced at £70 in UK sizes 4 – 13.
