Originally released in 2004, the “Cali” Dunk Low used the state of California as its basis; utilising their flag and colours throughout the shoe. The red sole of the Dunk mirrors the foot of the flag whilst the red star in the corner takes up a similar position on the outside of the panelling.

They were only released in Quickstrike accounts across the state of California with production being limited to 444 pairs for their initial release. To coincide with the 10 year anniversary, Nike SB are bringing back the “Cali” but this time on a Dunk Hi, which is being coined the “31st State”.

The “Paparazzi” is a collaboration with the world-renowned Los Angeles based store Brooklyn Projects. Founded by the former BMX pro Dominick Deluca, the store has grown into one of the industries giants, housing an art gallery and streetwear boutique inside their store.

Representing the so-called glitz and glamour of Hollywood, the interior of the shoe is a rich red, paying homage to the velvet ropes alongside the red carpets. The upper is predominantly black with a repeating flash pattern, reminiscent of the constant flash of the cameras which run alongside the red carpet.
