A look behind the Air Jordan Future

Share This:

Paying tribute to the relationship between the court and the street, the Jordan Future is a new shoe that blends one of their most iconic midsole designs (as seen on the Jordan XI) with a one-piece woven upper. The result is a forward-thinking, progressive design that continues to evolve the Jordan Brand's off-court line-up. Featuring a carbon fiber plate and full-length Air outsole, the Jordan Future offers the same lightweight comfort and cushioning as the XI but with a minimalist, deconstructed approach. The upper features an asymmetric lacing system that reduces pressure across the top of the foot and has been given a suede interior and ankle collar to provide comfort to the wearer. Although the shoe includes overt design elements throughout with very little visual branding, Jordan Brand have made sure to add some subtle inclusions that make it a standout. The reflective upper threading seen on previous Future releases is no longer present, however the all-over woven construction and waxed laces with gold lace tips add to the sophistication and complexity of the shoe perfectly. The Jordan Future ‘Black/Black/Sail’ will be launching Saturday 17th May online via direct links on our Facebook and Twitter pages, as well in our Carnaby Street, Manchester, Cambridge, Harrods, Birmingham, Cardiff, Covent Garden and Paris size? stores on the day. They will be priced at £125 in UK sizes 6 – 13 (including half sizes).
