Chad Muska is a skater who broke down the boundaries of what could and couldn’t be skated. He also broke the mould of skate footwear when the Skytop by SUPRA first launched in 2006. With three past incarnations of the model since then, the ‘Fourth’ rendition was an important milestone for the 36-year-old.
Breaks Magazine sat down with the legendary skater for a catch up on the inspiration of the new shoe, the different technologies blended within the design, and also his true feelings on the perceived ‘mainstream mutation’ of skateboarding in pop culture. In a refreshingly honest and engaging opinion from a true cultural icon, Chad also talks about his artwork and the evolution of the SUPRA model in general. Enjoy!
The SUPRA Skytop IV is available online here and in selected size? stores.
