Kobe 8 System ‘Mambacurial’

The Kobe basketball silhouette has evolved greatly over the past few seasons with new materials and innovative design aspects being included into every new model, and this recent System edition is no different. The ‘Mambacurial’ takes the popular Kobe 8 and applies aspects from the technologically advanced Venom football boot, only recently released by Nike in similar colours. The bold Swoosh branding on the tongue has become a classic football feature for the brand, whilst the grass printed outsole takes a more direct influence from the surroundings of a typical football match.

It’s not just the exported inspiration that has been included on this limited release, as all of the definitive basketball elements can be easily seen throughout as well, from the high heel arch to the duel-foam sole unit, all contributing to a colourful silhouette that would sit better on an 11-a-side pitch, than on the feet of Kobe himself.
