Vans California AW ’12 collection

Vans was originally known as the Van Doren Rubber Company, when Paul Van Doren set up the skateboarding brand we know today in 1966. Since then, it has created some of the most simplistic and classic skate-specific trainers available. To celebrate the rich heritage majorly influenced by the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas and their respective scenes, the Vans California range was created to include more premium materials and a use of exceptional designs and craftsmanship.

This season sees no fault in the collection due to a number of classic silhouettes being taken apart and then put back together with either a heavy-duty sole, seen on the Authentic Hike, or a water-resistant upper, seen on the Era Wax. Two or out favourites for this season have to be the Authentic Birds, featuring a delicate pattern across the full premium canvas upper, and the Chukka Deconstructed, which is a classic in its own right, but when a soft suede and some intricate detailing are added, it turns this model into something special.

The Vans California ever-growing collection is now available from selected size? stores and online, perfectly timed for these colder days.
