Quintin Co. – 5 Panels and Pocket T’s
During the 1980s, both skateboarding and BMXing were slowly emerging from the underground and stamping their mark very firmly into mainstream culture. With this, LA-based Quintin was formed, merging its love of these sports and later on incorporating a design process expected from a matured fashion house. Recruiting several of the World’s most talented BMXers and skateboarders into their collective has meant the brand’s momentum and focus has kept true from the very start, whereas other brands would chaotically add sporadic elements to create a more fresh and renewed atmosphere to their latest range.
Referencing West-Coast American ambiance through the majority of their collections, Quintin utilise the overall sense of Summer in the colour palettes and materials selected as well as integrating subtle designs and understated attention to detail. From using cut and sew techniques to factoring in some handy iPhone storage, Quintin have even gone as far as using authentic Mexican-made fabrics in their new collection of pocket Ts, manufactured from hand-made fabric purchased on research trips to South America.
