This weekend the World Basketball Festival hits South London. A first for the UK, the festival brings together some of the games finest players in a showcase event celebrating the sport of basketball & the culture surrounding it. A range of free activities and displays are planned at the event, which takes place free of charge on a full-size court in Brixton’s Windrush Square, including athlete clinics hosted by international coaches and players, dunk contests, participation games, and a 5-on-5 game between Team Nike from New York & a Team GB all-star team.
Following the event the action moves to 02 Academy Brixton where Nike host a spectacular fusion of music & basketball with exclusive appearances from some of the games heroes past and present. With original Dream Team & Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen and headline act Big Boi of Outkast already confirmed, the event looks set to be pretty good and at only a fiver a ticket, one not to be missed!
