The rebirth of adidas Equipment

“Everything that is essential. Nothing that is not.” adidas Equipment

adidas as a brand itself, is built on the premise of innovation. Since its creation by Adolf Dassler back in 1949, it’s constantly pushed the boundaries for the improvement of athletic performance.

A brief history: adidas EQT aka Equipment

In 1991, a new adidas sub-label was born; designed to cater specifically to the athlete specialising in quality, considered equipment to improve performance. Enter, the birth of the Equipment line. Initially, Robert Strasser and Peter Moore’s aim with the range was not to create the most technical, but purely the best performing to serve the users’ requirements. The range spanned across the running track, football field, and beyond into the great outdoors.

Equipment focused on four principles: protection, cushioning, stability, and traction. A completely new logo symbolised each of these – yes you guessed it – the Badge of Sport. Over time, adidas Equipment has come to represent a unique design philosophy that emphasises essentials, aiming to create the best apparel and footwear for non-professional athletes in every instance.

A linchpin for over four decades, the pioneering Equipment line now returns this time focusing on what is only essential, uniting sport, music and streetwear – delivering only the best for those that shape culture.

The adidas Equipment Collection

Inspired by the original EQT series, the adidas Equipment collection drops two models: the adidas Equipment Agravic and the adidas Equipment Takumi Sen. Combining timeless characteristics with the brand’s heralded innovation, this series is made for today with a nod to ‘90s design, colours and characteristics. The apparel offering is crafted using advanced materials such as heavyweight French terry cloth with reflective yarn, seamless knits, and iridescent, reflective outerwear fabrics, staying true to the Equipment ethos. We’d expect no less.

Mark your calendars, the adidas Equipment collection is set to release on 31.01.2025 at size?
