Jordan is celebrating 25 years of a court icon with the Air Jordan 11 ‘Jubilee’
The Air Jordan 11 are undoubtedly one of the brand’s most popular silhouettes. Its high-class design, sporadic releases and iconic colourways have made it an enduring hit over the years, and this season, it returns ina luxury ‘Jubilee’ colourway to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
Designed by no other than Tinker Hatfield – the legendary Nike footwear specialists responsible for the iconic Air Jordan 3 – the 11th Jumpman silhouette landed in 1995, just as MJ stepped back out of retirement and onto the courts. It boasted performance-boosting carbon fibre plates in the midsole and glamorous patent leather across the top – becoming a fan favourite from the get-go.
Marking 25 years of court icon, this Jubilee rendition is a lavish-looking shoe that’s kitted out in shades of black across its mesh and patent leather upper. Below, a solid white midsole contrasts perfectly with the shoe’s uppers, and Air technology is encased within to provide you with supreme levels of cushioning. A few finishing touches: a metallic Jumpman logo and “23” emblem decorate the heel, and a translucent semi-translucent outsole ensures reliable traction on and off the courts.
Here’s to another 25 years.
