Join us on a journey to the Serengeti with our Saucony Grid Azura 2000

Our latest collaboration with Saucony is a journey into the wild, so if it’s a trip to the Serengeti you’re after, look no further than our exclusive Grid Azura 2000 runner.

If Saucony’s runners aren’t your forte, let us quickly get you up to speed with this silhouette: the Grid Azura 2000 was originally slated for release back in the ’00s, however, it never actually made it to the shelves. Thankfully though the top-secret model finally made its way out of the brand’s archive earlier in 2020 and we’re made up to get our hands on the striking striped style.

And speaking of stripes, it’s everybody’s stripy safari favourite that’s served as design inspiration for our collaborative effort – the zebra, if you hadn’t already guessed. In true zebra style, we’ve painted the aggressively-styled runner with shades of white and black across its breathable mesh base and pony-hair overlays; the footbed continues the theme too, boasting the same contrasting print. There’s also a few size?-inspired details dropped in throughout.

If you’re off trekking around the plains, then you don’t need to worry about comfort; your feet are kept supported thanks to Saucony’s cushioning ‘GRID’ tech in the midsole. The way it works is almost like a tennis racquet for your foot, providing a similar responsive feeling to what you get when you connect with the sweet spot of a ball, satisfying. It’s built from woven Hytrel plastic in the heel which absorbs impact and helps stop your foot from pronating, protecting your body from any strains and what not. Clever, isn’t it?

Our Saucony Grid Azura 2000 is set to stampede onto size? shelves on Wednesday 7th October; it’ll also be available via the size? launches app soon. It’s priced at £120 and available in both men’s and women’s sizes. Good luck!
