Nike Air More Uptempo ‘EU Pack’
Since the NBA’s formation back in 1946, we’ve seen thousands of pairs of basketball shoes hit the hardwood, and there are a few particular pairs that are forever etched into the minds of sports fans for numerous reasons. Chicago Bulls’ Small-forward Scottie Pippen made a name for himself back in 1996 while wearing the rather flamboyant Nike More Tempo (later renamed the Uptempo), a black basketball sneaker with a full airbag underfoot, and enormous white leather lettering plastered across the side.
Paying homage to three iconic European Capital cities – London, Milan and Paris – Nike have reissued the Uptempo for the EU Pack. Featuring the signature block lettering across the sidewall, the updated 90’s favourite references the characteristics of all three cities in each of the respective colourways. The London rendition features a water-melon like colour-up in tribute to the city’s multiculturalism. For Milan, the silhouette utilises a recognisable green/white/red colour palette, drawing inspiration from the national flag. Paris’ rendition is subtler, featuring a black upper with hints of gold.
The Nike Air More Uptempo ‘EU Pack’ is available online and in selected size? stores now, each priced at £150.
