adidas Originals Atric – F/22

For a brand to dominate it’s important for them to be able to offer product across all categories. Throughout the 90’s there was definitely a boom within outdoors, with everyone putting out strong product lines designed to withstand whatever was thrown at them. adidas’ reply to this trend was their excellent Adventure range, a further division of Equipment that utilised hardwearing suede’s and leathers to keep your feet warm and dry.

Updating this idea for 2018, adidas Originals have injected new life into the concept and come with the new Atric range, a collection that nods to a lifestyle suited to both the outdoors and the city. As demonstrated in the logo, the collection references the four elements which the shoe caters for perfectly.

With the great British weather as unpredictable as ever, a shoe with function in mind is always a welcome addition. The F/22’s upper consists of a Merino Wool fueled Primeknit upper which offers an element of water resistance, and a rugged rubber Continental outsole covered in three-point stars gives you the grip you need on any surface. Adding to the structure of the midsole, there’s also a branded foam instep support that sits in the medial side. It’s a great looking new addition to the Originals line that channels shoes from years gone by, reinventing them for the future.
