We’ve already caught up with our size? Experts over in Manchester and Glasgow, and now it’s time to head across the channel to get the lowdown on streetwear styles in Paris. Keep on reading and get to know size? Paris’ Kenneth…

What’s your name and where are you from originally?

“My name is Kenneth, I’m born in Ivory Coast and raised in France.”

How long have you been working with us at size?

“I’m working at size? for 1 year.”

How would you describe your own personal style?

“Hmmm, I think my look is preppy with a zest of streetwear.”

Tell us about a few of your favourite shoes of all time.

“I’ll disappoint you, but I don’t have favourite shoes because they have many sneakers that I like in the same way.”

What are you wearing a lot of at the moment? What shoes are in your regular rotation?

“Currently, I wear my Nike Air Max 90 ‘CS’ because I feel comfortable in it and I don’t like this shoe when they’re new so, I rock them.”

What are some of your biggest influences – music, fashion, sport?

“In music: I think Kanye West and Brent Faiyaz (for our generation) influence me. In fashion: Japanese fashion with beautiful, resourceful and comfortable clothes. For sports: the French football team. (Siri, play We Are The Champions).”

Anywhere you look to for inspiration? Online? Print Media?

“Online I look at blogs, fashion show videos and fashion podcast like “PAQ”. For print media, I like to read Vogue, GQ, SYSTEM and many others. For inspiration, I look outside too, the city, the countryside.”

What sort of things do you like to get up to outside of work? Any personal passions in life?

“I really like to go to the cinema, restaurants, museums and galleries, also at my mother’s house in my countryside (near of Orléans for those who knows the story of Joanne of Arc),

“I’m passionate about music too, so festival and concert if u want to do me a gift. But before all, I’m passionate about fashion, not only the way you wear your clothes but the process of creation to the distribution.”

What sort of products would you say your city’s really buying into at the moment?

“At the moment, everybody is looking for Nike Air Jordan 1, this is probably due to the Michael Jordan documentary on Netflix.”

What products that we’re currently stocking at size? at the moment do you think people should be taking notice of?

“In my opinion, people (me included) should be interested in the New Balance 990/991/992 because these shoes are so so comfortable, user-friendly and beautiful (If you disagree, Steve Jobs would agree).”

Anything new or innovative that’s arrived that you think has the potential to be big this year?

“The Nike Space Hippie and ISPA collection (sneakers and clothes).”

Are there any particular brands or types of footwear you’d consider yourself more of an expert on? 

“I think I’m an expert on sneakers and slides.”

What does being a ‘size? Expert’ mean to you?

“It means that I can help people with my knowledge and make them lives better because when we learn something, life is better.”

Is there anything you’re planning to learn more about so you can help out customers that bit extra?

“I want to learn more about the process of fabrication of sneakers (prototype to sample to the final version).”

What are some of the most commonly asked questions you tend to receive? 

“People ask me every day how things fit and how they can clean some materials – with water or not for example.”

“My skills can help customers to choose their sneakers smartly, not just because they’re beautiful. My skills can help also for cleaning and taking care of their sneakers.”
