Get your fantasy football teams signed off, and your best Premier League hot takes out there – football is back. We know it hasn’t been a lengthy break; first, we had the Euros – then the Olympics – but that doesn’t make us any less excited here at size?.

What’s more, after a lengthy wait, fans are allowed back in the stadiums at full capacity in the Premier League. So, if you are heading to the ground, the pub or a friends house to watch your team, get your best terrace clobber nicely ironed and pick out a pair of 3-Stripes for the big weekend.

To get us in the spirit for the new season, we have teamed up with Art of Football again for another football-themed campaign. To celebrate the city’s rich football history, we have got Art of Football to give our shopfront a Lowry-inspired redesign. As well as this, we thought it would be fitting to get them involved with this week’s size? collections. As you can probably tell, they are obsessed with the beautiful side of the game: iconic team colours, baggy retro stylings, the pub and god-like legends. So, what are you waiting for? Introducing the ‘[AOF] Masterpiece Collection’.

“Five shirts. Five artists. Five nations. For the very first time, we created a custom collection of football shirts back in June, inspired by some of the best European artists to ever do it. The beautiful game has provided fans with some truly artful moments over the years, and we’ve paid tribute to Europe’s finest for our first-ever cut and sew collection. The nostalgic connection between historical artists and painters of the game brings this project to life. Europe’s finest artists combined with football shirt folklore. The featured nations are Spain, Italy, England, France and the Netherlands.”

The Bucket Hat Project

“The bucket hat project is one that we’re particularly proud of. The initial idea came from a project in collaboration with Adidas where we created a full outfit for the Notting Hill carnival using that season’s Arsenal away kit (which was inspired by the iconic bruised banana shirt of 1994). The hat became a symbol of the success of the project; a garment inspired by football fashion in a way that hadn’t been seen before. The process of ‘upcycling’ unwanted retro shirts into new, fashionable products of better quality and environmental value is something that drives a lot of the projects we’ve worked on recently. Soon after, we went from one hat to ten, to twenty, to hundreds. Each collection of hats sells out within minutes. Every hat is unique. Each one is cut and sewn from one of the many vintage shirts we have in our studio collection. The idea that a fan can brandish the loyalty they feel towards their club by donning a contemporary football fashion garment is appealing to a wide audience.”

‘Home Brews’ Collection

“It’s well known in football folklore that there’s no better place to reminisce about classic matches, former players and the glory days than your local. It’s a melting pot for the pre-match anticipation, the post-match analysis and putting the footballing world to rights. A place for the fans, a place for memories, a place for the footy. We’ve paid tribute to the very best in the game in our ‘Home Brews’ Collection, available printed on tees/sweats and prints or as authentic beer mats. Cheers to that.”

The Summer Button-Down Shirts.

“A collection of six button-down shirts featuring some of the waviest shirts from some of the spiciest teams in football history. Les Parisiens. When you think of sauce, you think of Paris Saint-Germain. Try and stay out of the Parisian heat. Nigeria. The Super Eagles. One of the tastiest footballing nations in the world. You know that when the Nigerian football team is in town, the party has arrived. Gli Azzurri. The taste of Italia. The crown of Campania. The home of Diego. The Neapolitan colours are as recognisable as their people are passionate. Bellissimo. La Tricolor. Colombian heat hits heights worldwide. The yellow of Colombia is sunshine memorialized, taking inspiration from the beaches and bright lights of the Cartagena coastline. Der BVB. Properly German. Making waves at Westfalenstadion. The black and yellow never looked so sharp. CABJ. Maradona country. Diego’s dynasty. The blue of La Bombanera and the bright lights of Buenos Aires. Included on prestige alone.”

Patchwork Trousers

“One of our most popular rework collections this year. Each pair was cut and sewn from three different classics sportswear jackets. We have since launched a similar collection of shorts and have plans to continue leading the way in the up-cycling market throughout the coming months.”

[AOF] REFRESHMENTS

“Following on from [AOF] ELECTRONICS earlier in the year, our second mainline collection of 2021 dropped mid-July. [AOF] REFRESHMENTS brings summer vibes straight to your door. We’re talking blue skies. We’re talking cold cans. We’re talking good friends and good times. The collection features a number of fresh designs available as tees and prints, a limited run of our first ever button down summer shirts and a variety of brand new accessories such as water bottles and pin badges. Grab a tin and wheel out the deckchairs. It’s summertime.”
