For the first of our 12 sessions events, we were lucky enough to be joined by and have the opportunity to speak to West London grime DJ General Courts.

General Courts

The DJ has a rich career working with independent grime label Wig Power and as a tour DJ for AJ Tracey. On top of this, he is no stranger to radio either, General Courts has featured on our collaborator’s Rinse FM plus Boiler Room and NTS.

Courts a seasoned festival performer too, appearing at Glastonbury, Wireless and Sonar Festival, as well as performing at club nights at Fabric and Warehouse Project.

We were lucky to get the chance to talk to General Courts; we spoke about his origins, inspirations, up and coming artists and – of course – his favourite creps. Check out the interview below.
