We’re kicking off our International Women’s Day celebrations with a special size? collections from Steph HT. 

Steph is a marketeer, creative, podcaster and founder of @_Womeninsneakers – a platform created to champion women behind the scenes in the footwear industry. She tells us a lot of her collection is in storage at the moment but here’s a taste of some of her recent pickups and favourite pairs that she’d kept out to wear. 

Air Jordan 1 High “Lucky Green”

“These were a pair a never thought I would get my hands on but I actually won them in a competition, so I guess they really are lucky!” 

Nike Air Max 1

“These I picked up on a trip to New York with my boyfriend, I love the city so these are a nice reminder of the trip.” 

Reebok Instapump 

“For those that know me, they know I love gold and animal print, so these were the perfect pair of one of my favourite silhouettes.” 

On ‘The Roger’ 

“I work for a Swiss Sneaker brand On, and this is shoe symbolises one of the biggest launches I worked on. The pairs were super limited and the team gave me a pair to say thanks for my hard work. I have pair 50 out of 2000.” 

New Balance 327

“Since starting @_Woneninsneakers I have learned a lot, and one thing that stood out to me was the amount of amazing female designers. So, for me, the New Balance 327 is arguably one of the best silhouettes to arrive in 2020 that was designed by a UK based female designer.”

Finally, with it being IWD this month, what does being a woman mean to you? 

“To be a Woman is to have the world’s eyes on you watching and analysing everything you do, but in spite of that you create, grow and do things beyond their expectations breaking rules, boundaries and stereotypes making way for the future.”
