Footpatrol x Nike Air Huarache Light ‘Concrete’ – 2014

“This was my first ‘hyped’ release. Limited to only 500 pairs worldwide, I was after this pair since the press shots were released. I remember being on my phone under the table in sixth form trying to get it with no such luck as the 3G was shocking.”

New Balance x Lace up for the cure WR993KM – 2012

“This New Balance was one that I just couldn’t get my hands on for years. Being a women’s release, the bigger sizes were very hard to get hold of. I’d read the story behind the shoe where 5% of the sale was donated to the Susan G. Korman Foundation (Look it up!) and this just made me want the shoe more. It took me 7 years but finally, I picked up the pair from a friend in DS condition.”

Nike x Sacai Waffle Trainer – 2019 

“Trainer of the year 2019 for me without a doubt. Everything about this shoe makes it so appealing, from the colours, the design and just how wearable they are on a daily basis. I was lucky to grab them when they dropped as I was at my first manager’s meeting in London, meaning I only had to jump on the tube instead of a 4 hour round trip on the train.”

Nike Air Huarache ‘Escape Pack’ – 2003

“Nike Huaraches have always been one of my favourite silhouettes, and this colour has to be in my top 3 all-time. The colours work so well together, and the materials are great. They’re still holding up well 17 years later.”

Nike Air Stasis FS – 1996 

“The Stasis FS and Footscapes, in general, have always been one of my favourite styles and not something you see people wear every day. Trying to find a pair now is almost impossible as production was stopped in 1998, so to have a pair in this condition 24 years later is amazing!”

Nike Mayfly ‘Bowerman Series’ – 2010

“The story behind this is what had me searching eBay for hours, days and months to find a pair. It’s a great piece of Nike history as the pair was created by Bill Bowerman who wanted to make a light shoe that would last through a race then fell apart after. They even came with a bag and labels to return your battered pair.”

Nike WMNS Air Max Craze – 2001

“The is one of the more unusual pairs in my collection and one that turns heads! I first saw this pair on Instagram and loved how different they were, but was pretty sure that I’d never get hold of a pair. A couple of weeks later and one of the boys who now works in our store posted a pair up for sale on his page (shouts out to Mitch @thegridfashion) and I just couldn’t turn them down.”

adidas x Pharrell x Human Made NMD ‘Love’ – 2019 

“One pair that definitely fell under the radar on release. If these had dropped a few years ago when adidas Boost was really popular, they would have sold out in seconds almost everywhere, but instead, they sat and hit sale racks. I’m not complaining though as these are perfect for summer.”

adidas 4D Run 1.0 – 2020

“4Ds were something that I’d be looking at for a while after hearing they were the new big thing and much comfier than boost. I didn’t really want to pay the extortionate prices that they came with, so when I saw these at a more reasonable price, I finally grabbed a pair. Due to the pandemic, I’m yet to try them out.”
