Ever since its rule-breaking inception in ’85, the Jordan brand has been a staple within the basketball world and continues to demand respect on the courts right up until today. Arguably its most famous model, MJ’s first signature shoe has played host to all sorts of legendary colourways over the years, with each version carrying its own story from key moments in the Jumpman’s illustrious career. This Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “UNC” iteration is no exception.

Taking you back to where the story started, this coolly-coloured iteration of the famed Air 1 honours the University of North Carolina’s Tar Heel basketball team. The Jumpman played for three seasons as a freshman since 1981, mastering his craft before the days of domination at the Chicago Bulls.

Up top, the usual leather builds the pair in ‘Sail White’, ‘Obsidian’ and ‘University Blue’ hues to give off a distinctly retro look, with signature Swoosh branding sitting on the sidewall. The standard details remain underfoot: an encapsulated Air midsole delivers supreme levels of cushioning, coupled with a rubber outsole for firm traction on and off the hardwood.
