After releasing a cohort of collaborations last year, Nike and Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear of God label pick up where they left off in 2018 and introduce an all-new ‘Light Bone’ colourway of the Air Skylon II silhouette.

Launched in 2013, LA-based Fear of God label has grown season by season into the high-end streetwear entity it sits as today. Lorenzo’s collections boast an aesthetic that’s almost a fusion of grunge and hip-hop styles, with each garment crafted from the finest materials from around the world. As the name would suggest, a fascination with religion has always been at the centre of his brand and helped to inform decisions along the road.

The latest collaborative effort between Nike and the Californian streetwear enthusiasts reworks the Bill Bowerman designed 1992 Air Skylon II runner with a host of premium details. Lorenzo applies a subtle makeover across the luxury pair, stripping away the ‘90s runner’s usual colourful persona and replacing it with a tonal ‘Light Bone’ hue. The branded tongue has been switched out for a blank perforated suede, and an additional lacing toggle enables quick, easy and secure fastening.

Fear of God’s scripted logo replaces the traditional Air Skylon II signature on the lateral side of the heel, while reflective 3M overlays at the toe box ensure you stand out when the sun goes down. Air technology in the midsole finishes the contemporary model, providing you with cloud-like cushioning wherever you step.

The Nike x Fear of God Air Skylon II ‘Light Bone’ will be available on Thursday 18th July via the size? website and in selected size? stores, priced at £130 and available in both men’s and women’s sizes.
