Nike Air Force 1 ‘NBA Collection’

Uptowns, Forces, Harlems, White-on-White’s. Whatever way you choose to name them, the Bruce Kilgore designed Nike Air Force 1 has undoubtedly become one of the figurehead shoes of the Nike brand, returning this time in a slew or NBA themed colour-ups.

First hitting the hardwood in 1982, the Air Force 1 featured a new pivot point system on the outsole, designed to help quick turning on the court. Championed by NBA All-Stars like Rasheed Wallace, Kobe Bryant, and most famously Moses Malone (one of the original poster boys for the shoe) it later found notoriety on the streets as a statement piece in any outfit. Of all the colour combinations it’s gone through over the years, it’s still the white-on-white archetype which has stood the test of time and is still highly revered today.

This season a selection of NBA inspired versions are set to join the Air Force 1’s extensive roster. Paying homage to a handful of famed NBA outfits, the silhouettes arrive in both hi-top and low-top profiles. The hi-tops are imagined in a rich navy and a timeless white, with adjustable ankle straps providing additional support for all-day comfort. The low-tops are offered in white, red and black colourways, with the black tumbled leather rendition featuring taped branding down the heel. Finally, all silhouettes boast an embroidered outline around the eponymous Swoosh as an extra added detail.

The Nike Air Force 1 ‘NBA’ collection will be available via the size? previews app and in selected size? stores, with the low priced at £80, and the Hi priced at £100.
