Carhartt WIP Archives Launch Recap
A tome that’s been a long time coming, the Carhartt WIP Archives book has finally arrived. With a rich history as one of the foundation brands supporting the movement of modern day streetwear, it’s great to see such a detailed chronological breakdown of where it all began.
Our apparel team headed out to Berlin for the launch of the book, and to check out an incredible exhibition containing items that can be found in the book, cultural artefacts that have helped shape the brand’s identity. The output of print media has always been a strong arm for the brands marketing strategy, creating memorable visual campaigns and having the right people wear the clothes in the public eye have been key to their success.
Held inside the incredible Keonig Gallery space, the installations followed a timeline of sorts that documented the brands rise to the top. From it’s humble beginnings as a european distrobution off-shoot of an American Workwear brand, to becoming THE first name in streetwear.
Keep an eye on the blog in the next week for more news about the release of the Carhartt WIP Archives book at size?.
