Nike Mayfly Woven QS

Nike’s Mayfly silhouette has always been in question whether it was supposed to ever make it to the production line. With a simple and very minimal construction, the super-lightweight runner had originally been designed around the tenets set by legendary track-and-field coach, Bill Bowerman – to be light and faster.

The initial concept provided an unexpected twist due to the nimble design, presenting the wearer with an extreme warning of an approximate 62 mile / 100 km recommended lifespan. This fragile model has now been greatly improved on, with the inclusion of both the Nike Woven concept, for a more refined look, and an increased durability thanks to a soft leather and suede upper.

The Nike Mayfly Woven Quickstrike will be available Friday (30th August) in the Grey and Black colourways, online at 8:00am BST via direct links on our Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as a dedicated email newsletter. They will also be available in our Manchester, Carnaby Street, Paris, Covent Garden and Leeds size? stores, priced at £90 / 110€ and available in sizes UK 5.5 – 12.

Please note: The Nike Mayfly Woven QS – Tan, will be launching on Friday 6^th September. The Navy colourway has been slightly delayed and we will announce a confirmed date in the near future.
